I wanted to try a black horse on black paper, in pastels.
First made it in shades of blue, but quickly added purple, and later on some red as well.
Think it turned out OK ;)

Background edited in PS (burning/darkening, so that it showed up as black), and adjusted some small things as well.

Edit - removed the watermark since it was right through the whole drawing (which is kinda the point, but in this case not ideal).
Please don't steal without asking ;)

Gah! Lovely, as usual. You've become quite the pro with those pastels, haven't you? ;)

Hey, Dunland :)!!

Er... well... OK, I will upload the mess I just created, just for you :) To my Scraps that is.
Still have a lot to learn, but I have come to really like my pastels in stead of hating them, so I guess there is some progress.
Did you change your avatar?

Hey, stop trying to divert my attention to something else when I say you're good and just accept the compliment, dammit! I'm trying to admire your work here and you're raining on my parade. ;P

And I did change the avatar, but then I skipped the country for more than a month, so it hasn't actually been in use for very long. It's my angry little man that I drew when we were doing (or trying to do, because that shit was hard) children's drawings back in school. It's my greatest work of art to date.

Also, feel free to just call me Dun, or even Lise, if you want. It's what everyone else does. Well, everyone I talk to, anyway. "Dunland" just seems very formal. Which could only happen in the world of the internet, but there you are. ;)

*goes to check out this alleged mess of yours*

Grin! Diversion plan failed then?
Well, in that case: thank you!
I'll use Lise, or Dunny (hihi - or is that too close to Dummy, even if I say it affectionately ?)

SO much fail and you're welcome. ;P Also, you can get away with saying a lot of stuff just as long as you do it with fondness, lol.

Beautiful work, particularly in pastels!! And that eye is simply a painting in of itself, so well done...

Thank you very much!!
(I had such a big fight with that eye! Still think it might be a bit too small?)

I don't know, but even if it is, there is no negative effect at all, as it works fine as is.:slow:

Considering the subject, that smiley had me laugh out loud (you couldn't find one with bigger eyes ;)?)
I removed the watermark so it's better visible, no one's gonna steal my stuff anyway.
The eye still bugs me, but I can't really tell what's wrong. So I think I'll leave it and pretend it's OK.
