Went over to the buurtjes (neighbors) yesterday, and took some pictures of their German Shepherd (spelling?) pup so I could draw her.
about 5 or 6 hours so far, and coming along quickly!
40x50 or something (cut a piece of paper up, didn't really measure it..oops)

Pastel pencils (and some of the white is with soft pastels since that was the only thing that "took" on top of the pencil layers). 10x15cm reference picture and the real-life-doggie next door (and man is it easier to draw an animal you've actually seen irl!)

No watermark (for better viewing), but please don't steal :)

It's looking great :) I'm more of a cat person too, but I do like most animals, especially if they're furry. And friendly and when you pet them they show you they like it.

Wow this is really lovely. The sheen on the fur is perfect. The way the colors blend look like oil.

Thanks!!
The sheen is made by using the white pastel pencil as kind of a blending stick to "mix" it with the underlying color (blue/pink/purple)

Thank you!
This doggie is about 4 months I think?
I'm not really a dog person, but I'm starting to like dogs better :)
