I was very "scared" that I wouldn't be able to get the fur to look like fur.
Turns out the nose was the hard part (and I know the shadow under the lips is too dark, can't adjust it...) but at least it looks like a dog
Could you just darken the mouth entirely to make the lip look more natural? I think a deeper shadow on the tongue, under that lip, plus some darker tones behind the lower teeth would look more natural and make the tongue less of a focal point in the composition...

What color do you suggest I use for the shadow on the tongue? I can't get the black to blend with the pink too well.. darker pink with darker grey mixed in???
I'll make the shadow behind the teeth darker as well (kinda forgot to do that, deviant art to the rescue).

It's black, brown, deep purple, dark blue and lighter blue (although not as obviously blue as it's in the picture/scan...)
