H2Oils from a perfect reference picture. Quite a few more steps to go until it's done I think! Maybe 2 or 3 more layers on the head, then the manes and the headstall.
Tips and critiques welcome, I'm not sure if the big shadowline from eye to nose is a bit too strong?
Looks wonderful so far. Love the work on the ears and around the muzzle. I think the line you mentioned is fine - the only thing that stands out to me is the colour. Maybe you are deliberately emphasising the colours, if so then ignore my advice lol. The dark tones around the eye just look a little bit too blue to me. Also the blue in the forelock, and the pinkish tones throughout. I think if you toned them down just a tad - not desaturating them completely, just lightening them up - it would look a lot more natural. Really like it so far though!
Thank you!! I was planning to tone down the colors on the 'face' just a bit but adding a few translucent duller whiter layers on top. Haven't really done anything about the muzzle/ears yet apart from 'global color' and a few stray hairs in the eats, so thought it funny that they look good too
Everything mane is still all underlayer (and I couldn't resist a few highlights), I needed something darker for the lighter strands to show later on (at least that's the plan....) Will have a look at the dark tones around the eye next week to see if I need to tone down the blues! Thanks!
